Macdonald Hotel & Cabins - Kinlochleven

The location offers beautiful views from the bar area, and the staff, particularly those at reception and the bar, are helpful. Expectations should be adjusted as the cabins feel cramped due to proximity to the camping area, impacting privacy. The advertised 'highland feast' at breakfast was disappointing in size and quality. Options for packed lunches were not available as promised, frustrating during our trek.

Had restful stay for two nights over the September weekend with fantastic staff and stunning location decent in the pub. Greatly enjoyed staying at the good twin room with fresh towels.

Superbly friendly and very pleasant staff with great local knowledge. Welcoming customer care, parking on-site. Not to mention good wifi!

The cozy Bothy Bar and our cabin's stunning loch views created a serene escape, although the bathroom facilities needed attention.

The views from the hotel are fine, ideal for walkers and climbers. The pub is friendly, and the staff are super nice. I liked how they offered great service, especially after the bedbug incident.

The room was cozy, with a comfy bed and an electric warmer. Loved the scenic views of the loch from the bar area and the delicious dinner on the first night.

The check-in process was chaotic with no staff present. I had to wait an unreasonably long time to get help, and when someone finally showed up, they seemed clueless about the reservation. The breakfast was a letdown. Not only did we have to pay in advance, but the food was poorly prepared and barely edible.

The whole wheat bread rolls at breakfast were a good surprise, fantastic! Plus, the hotel's location right on the West Highland Way is spot on for adventurers, and the rooms were clean and functional....  

Couldn't recommend more for a weekend adventure

Comfortable room, fine view, perfect for enjoying the delicious breakfast with a amazing vista overlooking the loch from the bar area.

My stay at the Macdonald was good. The fine views of Loch Leven inspired my photography, while the cozy bar vibe made relaxation easy. Though the staff could improve their service, the delicious meals outweighed the minor inconveniences. Perfect for nature lovers!

Cozy stay with nice views!

Staff were super friendly, and the bar area had fine views. The food was decent, but I was a bit bummed about the breakfast being smaller than expected. A good spot for a night along the trail!

I had a lovely stay at this place. The Cajun Chicken was delicious, and the cozy cabin provided everything I needed after an exhausting day. Plus, the friendly bar staff made my evenings enjoyable.

Fine views and superb service

The staff were attentive that all our needs were met, and the atmosphere in the Bothy Bar added a lively touch to our evenings. The breakfast could use a bit more variety as it felt a little limited. This place perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodations.
